John H. E. Hull

- in particular not to be confused with John M. Hull (b.1935), Emeritus Professor of Religious Education at the University of Birmingham.

Rev. John Howarth Eric Hull (b.unknown), was an English writer on religion. He was at the Congregational College, Manchester, in November 1977, then lecturer in religion at Mansfield College, Oxford in 1978.[1]

His main work, and that still cited, was The Holy Spirit in the Acts of the Apostles (1967). In this book he argued that at Pentecost the apostles only became aware of the gift of the Spirit they had already received.[2]
